My wife and oldest son want to watch something scary on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Any suggestions?

Netflix:
Conjuring- One of the best movies in the classic horror movie style, haunted house and what not.
The Babadook and The Witch- Both are atmospheric dread and disturbing AF you have been warned
It Follows- A very unique kind of Horror movie.
Dream Catcher-Sci fi horror
AMazon Prime: The collection is not that good but-
Woman in Black- Victorian Haunted House Horror.
Event Horizon- The quintessential space horror movie, outside of “ Alien”, of course

The hound of Baskerville, Sherlock Holmes. It was actually a bit creepy.

Was going to suggest the Babadook and the Witch. Solid list

The W itch was a lot more disturbing than Babadook, they’re both excellent.

We watched Dawn of the Dead last night. Can’t go wrong with the classics.

We just watched the original Halloween . He wasn’t impressed. Then it hit me that that movie is 40 years old.

Not THAT scary...

Is Primer still on Netflix? Not really scary but very suspenseful Texas Chainsaw Massacre is classic if a bit dated at this point.

Not a movie, but watch the Star Trek: the Next Generation episode called 'Schisms'. It's creepy as hell.

The predator movies were fun but I don’t remember them being particularly scary.

Well, yeah, but they’re watching them, not me. They’re watching The Shining right now. Last time I saw it was 40 years ago in the theater. I was 12.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I could watch the witch again. Alien and Terminator are my favorite horror movies but they're hardly ever on Netflix

The Shining is good, I really don’t even consider it a horror movie. Silence of the Lambs is also a good option for that kinda stuff .

He said scary not life altering

Which one is life altering? Because Texas Chainsaw Massacre is almost forgettable.

Alright. So there’s like 7 different timelines that people have calculated that end up with him a week back in time in his own attic making a bunch of noise. And he is listening to prerecorded audio on his headphones trying to perfect a day until he gets it right. At least that’s all I remember.
